Day 11...I think!

Look how cute her little booty in the air is!
After Annabella's very long nap this afternoon, we got up and headed downstairs to change some USD to RMB and then headed over to the 7-11 and grabbed these

Coke and Mountain Dew! Creature comforts mean a lot! I do believe I may treat myself to another Starbucks tomorrow too ;) While we were in the 7-11, it started to pour rain. It was the first rain we've seen here, and it only lasted for about 10 minutes. We waited out the worst of it in the 7-11, and when it settled down to a drizzle, we headed the 100 feet to our hotel entrance. We still had about 20 minutes before we needed to meet for dinner in the lobby, so we walked around the hotel a little and found the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, the waterfall, and the pool.

This was a tiny attempt to throw a fit after nap time because I wouldn't pick her up while I pottied!
At 5 we walked around the corner to the Macau restaurant with several other adoptive families and ate family style Chinese food. We had fried rice, noodles, sliced pork, a curry dish, potatoes that looked like noodles, some sort of dumplings with green veggies and rice inside, and some sort of fried chopped beans that were really quite good! In China they serve beer with every meal, and even some sort of liquor at one place. Usually as a group we mostly abstain, but tonight almost everyone at the table had one small glass of beer. I guess it's been a pretty long week for most of us!

After dinner we noticed a shopping mall type place and decided to go in and look around. We ran into Niki and Phil and they let us in on the best booths to shop in, so we headed that way. We had been looking for a pair of squeaky shoes for Annabella, and they had some in her size. We grabbed three pair and also picked up a pair of soft pink leather sandals and a pair of pink silk shoes. We sat down and tried them all on and she 100 % does NOT like squeaky shoes! She decided that she liked the silk shoes best and would not even let me put the sandals back on to check the size! So we came out with a new pair of silk shoes for our little Diva girl, and a little surprise for the boys.

those are roots hanging from the trees...it looks a lot like Spanish moss
After shopping, it was back to the hotel for bath and bed time! Here's our baby girl working her faux hawk for Pastor T! I just missed getting a great big smile on camera!
Well, it's time for us to get cleaned up, and get things in order for tomorrow before we call the boys. Please be in prayer that the medical exam goes quickly without much fuss, as does the TB test and visa photo. Also please continue to pray for patience on our part and understanding on Annabella's part as we all adjust to being "on demand" parents to our little diva daughter, and she adjusts to the unconditional love she's never known.

“How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears" 2 Samuel 7:22 NIV
